Kyle Olson, composer
Growing up in a suburb of Minneapolis, Minnesota, drummer and composer Kyle Olson was exposed to the “Mini-Apple’s” tightly knit experimental music scene. Although his main focus is in jazz, the creative climate of Minneapolis encouraged his exploration of other musical forms such as improvised, electronic, and minimalist music. This mix proved a solid cornerstone for his career in dance accompaniment and composition. He is currently accompanying dance classes at Connecticut College, NYU and other places in Manhattan where he lives. To contact Kyle about dance accompaniment, composition or any musical needs, please e-mail him at drum.ko@gmail.com.
