Adele Myers and Dancers: Repertory

It offers spectacle then reveals its mechanics by stripping them away. Developed with composer, Josh Quillen of So Percussion, the forty-minute sextet is divided into two acts incorporating Myers' robust athleticism fused with theatricality and humor. "Theater in the Head" was created in part during an Emerging Choreographer Residency at the 2009 Bates Dance Festival. In 2010-2011 the work will continue to be developed during a year-long creative residency at the Vermont Performance Lab (VPL). VPL is also a co-commissioner of the work and will present a preview of Theater in the Head June 2-4, 2011.
