Einstein's Happiest Thought

2011 - 2013

“Einstein’s Happiest Thought” is a multi-disciplinary work that delves into sensations budding from the charged physical states of risk and anticipation. The evening-length work, directed and choreographed by Adele Myers, includes collaborating composer, Josh Quillen (So Percussion); Lighting and Visual Designer, Kathy Couch, L.A. based filmmaker, Emmy Pickett; and dramaturg, Ain Gordon. 

AMD was awarded a National Dance Project grant for the creation and touring of Einstein’s Happiest Thought which premiered in September 28th 2013 as part of the onStage at Connecticut College series kicking off the 2013-14 touring season to the: Institute of Contemporary Art (ICA), Boston; Atlas Performing Arts Center, Washington, D.C.; Coker College, SC; New Haven International Festival of Arts & Ideas, CT; The American Dance Festival, NC and The Redfern Arts Center, NH.
