“Making Space for Inquiry & Experimentation”   

In January 2017 MDC Live Arts announced the launch of the MDC Live Arts Lab Alliance (LALA), a cohort of six locally-based working artists selected for commission, to be in residence and to be individually presented at the MDC Live Arts Lab during the 2018-2019 season. The LALA cohort includes: Rosie Herrera (choreographer), Juraj Kojs (composer), Claudio Marcotulli (filmmaker), Ana Mendez (performance artist), Adele Myers (choreographer), and Pioneer Winter (choreographer). As part of the Downtown Art Days, Adele and other members of the LALA cohort spoke about the creative process of each artist.

Dance and Physics at YQI

The Yale Quantum Institute (YQI) in New Haven, Connecticut invited Adele to speak about her company’s NDP supported multidisciplinary collaboration, Einstein’s Happiest Thought, in a shared presentation also featuring choreographer, dancer, and Assistant Professor at Yale, Emily Coates. Co-sponsored by The Franke Program in Science and the Humanities at Yale, the event highlighted the relationship between dance and physics through the creative process and work of two dance makers.

Miami Dance Sampler & The Haunted Ballet

Adele will presented two new solos alongside some of Miami’s most established choreographers and companies on Saturday, October 21st as part of the Miami Dance Sampler presented at New World School of the Arts; and at the Haunted Ballet at the Barnacle in Coconut Grove on Thursday, October 26th through Saturday 28th with two performances per night and one encore performance on Sunday 29th at 8:30pm.
